Dominion Restored

Creation Co-operates With Man's Commands

What Adam lost in the garden — Christ restored at the cross. We are made kings and priests by the blood of Jesus. Where the word of the king is there is power. Creation is waiting for the children of God to arise and reign. ✝️

"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me." — John 12:32 ✝️

"How much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ." — Romans 5:17 ✝️

The first commandment God gave to humanity was not a religious one. It was a royal one — "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground." (Genesis 1:28). God made man not merely as a creature but as a king — His regent over creation. ✝️

When Adam sinned that dominion was not cancelled — it was hijacked. The enemy took what was never his by right. But the cross of Christ did not merely forgive sin — it reclaimed everything that was lost. Romans 5:17 does not say we shall survive. It says we shall reign in life. Not cope. Not manage. Reign. The dominion is restored. ✝️

This page explores what Scripture reveals — from Genesis to Revelation — about the authority God has placed in the hands of redeemed humanity, and how creation itself responds when those made kings and priests by the blood of Jesus speak in alignment with God's word.

Revelation 1:6 — "To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father." ✝️

The Mandate — Made Kings and Priests

Genesis 1:28 · Revelation 1:6 · Ecclesiastes 8:4

"And God blessed them, and God said unto them — Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

Genesis 1:28 KJV ✝️
📖 The Original Mandate

The very first words God spoke to humanity after creating them were a royal commission. Not a religious instruction — a royal one. God made man in His image and immediately delegated dominion — rule, authority, stewardship — over the earth. This was not a suggestion. It was a blessing AND a command. Fruitful. Multiply. Subdue. Have dominion. ✝️

The Hebrew word for subdue — כָּבַשׁ (kabash) — means to bring into subjection, to tread down. And for dominion — רָדָה (radah) — means to rule, to reign, to have authority. These are the words of a king receiving his kingdom. ✝️

📖 The Mandate Lost and Restored

Lost: Genesis 3 — Adam's sin transferred the dominion to the enemy. Luke 4:6 — Satan showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and said "I will give you all their authority and splendour — it has been given to me and I can give it to anyone I want." The enemy was not lying about possessing it — Adam had surrendered it.

Restored: Romans 5:17 — "How much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ." Not merely forgiven — REIGNING. The mandate is back. ✝️

✝️ Kings and Priests by His Blood

Revelation 1:5-6 — "To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father." Two offices. Both restored. Both by blood — not by merit, not by achievement, not by spiritual maturity. By blood alone. ✝️

Ecclesiastes 8:4"Where the word of a king is there is power." A king does not beg. A king does not plead with uncertainty. A king speaks — and creation responds. Not because of who we are in ourselves but because of whose we are and what His blood purchased. ✝️

💡 Application

You are not a spiritual beggar pleading for crumbs from heaven's table. You are a king-priest — made so by the blood of the King of kings. The authority you exercise is not your own — it is delegated authority, exercised in the name of Jesus, aligned with His word. Speak what God says. Creation is designed to respond. ✝️

🙏 Declaration

Lord I receive my identity today — king and priest by Your blood. Not by my merit or my perfection — but by Your covenant. I take up the mandate You gave at creation and restored at Calvary. Where I go today — I go as Your representative, Your regent, Your ambassador. Let Your kingdom come through my words, my prayers and my life. ✝️

The Altar — Earth, Stone and the Presence of God

Exodus 20:24-25 · Exodus 27:1 · Exodus 29:37 · Exodus 30:1

"Make an altar of earth for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your sheep and goats and your cattle. Wherever I cause my name to be honoured I will come to you and bless you."

Exodus 20:24 ✝️
📖 Three Types of Altar — A Divine Progression

God did not give one instruction about altars — He gave three, each progressively closer to His presence. Understanding this progression reveals the depth of what an altar means in God's economy. ✝️

🌍

Earth & Stone Altar

Exodus 20:24-25 · For anyone, anywhere. Simple, uncut, humble. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob all built these. ✝️

🪵

Bronze Altar

Exodus 27:1 · Acacia wood overlaid with bronze. Appointed for the Tabernacle. Structured corporate worship. ✝️

🥇

Gold Altar

Exodus 30:1 · Acacia wood overlaid with gold. Before the veil. Intimate intercession closest to God's presence. ✝️

📖 The Five Elements of the Altar
ElementPhysicalSpiritual Meaning
🩸 BloodSheep and oxenThe blood of Jesus — atonement and covenant ✝️
🕊️ OilAnointing oilThe Holy Spirit — presence and power ✝️
🔥 FireBurnt offeringGod's presence — consuming and purifying ✝️
🌾 GrainGrain offeringGod's Word — the seed that produces harvest ✝️
🧂 SaltPeace offeringFaith — covenant, preservation, incorruption ✝️
✝️ The Consecrated Altar — Exodus 29:37

"For seven days make atonement for the altar and consecrate it. Then the altar will be most holy — and whatever touches it will be holy."

Three revelations: The altar must be consecrated before use — seven complete days. Whatever touches the consecrated altar becomes holy. The holiness of the altar transfers to everything that comes into contact with it. Matthew 23:19 — Jesus quotes this directly: "Which is greater — the gift or the altar that makes the gift holy?" ✝️

💡 Practical Application — Your Home Altar Today

A simple flower pot with soil and uncut stones — consecrated to God in prayer — is faithful to Exodus 20:24. Not carved wood, not glass, not metal — earth. As God specified. As Abraham, Isaac and Jacob built.

And Romans 12:1 — "Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice." You yourself are a living altar. The same five elements — blood (of Jesus applied by faith), oil (Holy Spirit), fire (passion for God), grain (God's word), salt (covenant faith) — are available to every believer every day. The altar does not merely receive holiness — it transmits it. ✝️

🙏 Prayer

Lord I offer myself to You today as a living altar — consecrated by Your blood, anointed by Your Spirit, set on fire by Your presence, nourished by Your word and faithful in covenant. Let everything that touches my life today be touched by Your holiness. ✝️

God in Thick Darkness — He Enters to Save

Exodus 20:21 · Isaiah 45:3 · Psalm 139:12

"Moses approached the thick darkness where God was."

Exodus 20:21 ✝️
📖 The Paradox of Holy Darkness

God is light — 1 John 1:5. Yet here He is in thick darkness. Not because darkness overcame Him but because He chose to enter it. He went INTO the darkness — not to be consumed by it but to meet His people there.

This is the incarnation in seed form — God entering the darkness of human suffering, human sin, human lostness — not from a safe distance but all the way in. Emmanuel — God WITH us — not God above us looking down. ✝️

✝️ Treasures in the Darkness

Isaiah 45:3"I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name."

God hides His richest treasures in the darkest places. The thick darkness is not where God is absent — it is where He stores what He wants to give us. The deepest revelations come in the darkest seasons. ✝️

Psalm 139:12"Even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you." No darkness can hide you from God — and no darkness can hide God from you. ✝️

💡 Application

If you are in a season of thick darkness — God has not left. He has entered. He is there in the darkness before you arrive. The very darkness you are walking through may be where He has hidden treasure that no light season could have revealed. ✝️

🙏 Prayer

O Lord — enter into the thick darkness of our nation and save it in Jesus' name. Enter the darkness of every broken heart, every hopeless situation and every abandoned place. You are the God who inhabits the darkness and turns it to light. Come, Lord Jesus. ✝️

The Four Winds — God's Directions of Purpose

Exodus 10:13 · Exodus 14:21 · Psalm 75:6-7 · Psalm 48:2

📖 The Discovery

The significance of the four winds is not a theological theory — it was discovered directly from reading Exodus carefully. The same east wind that carried the locusts of judgement (Exodus 10:13) also parted the Red Sea (Exodus 14:21). The same wind. Different purpose. God's winds are not random — they carry His sovereign intentions. ✝️

⬅️

EAST WIND

Wind of God's Judgement AND Way-Making

Locusts — Exodus 10:13
Red Sea parted — Exodus 14:21
Scorching wind — Genesis 41:6
East wind of LORD — Hosea 13:15

➡️

WEST WIND

Wind of God's Mercy

West wind drove locusts away
into the Red Sea — Exodus 10:19
Judgement swept away
by mercy ✝️

⬆️

NORTH WIND

Wind of God's Blessing — His Throne

Mount Zion — sides of the North
Psalm 48:2
Awake north wind — Song 4:16
Exaltation comes from God
not east, west or south
Psalm 75:6-7

⬇️

SOUTH WIND

Associated with Warmth

South wind brings heat
Luke 12:55
Wisdom knows when
not to force an interpretation ✝️

✝️ The Key Verse — Psalm 75:6-7

"For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge — He puts down one and exalts another."

If exaltation does not come from east, west or south — it comes from the NORTH. Look UP. His throne is there. Psalm 48:2 — "Mount Zion on the sides of the north — the city of the great King." Stop looking horizontally for your promotion. Look to the God of the north — the God on the throne. ✝️

📖 The East Wind — Both Judgement AND Way-Making

The most profound discovery: the SAME east wind that brought God's judgement (locusts in Exodus 10:13) also made a way for God's people (Red Sea in Exodus 14:21). What destroys the enemy delivers the beloved. God's judgement wind and God's way-making wind are the same wind — directed differently by sovereign purpose. ✝️

Ezekiel 37:9 — "Come from the four winds O breath and breathe into these slain that they may live." The God who commands the winds can command them to bring life even where there is death. ✝️

🙏 Prayer

Lord of the four winds — let Your mercy wind blow away every judgement that hangs over my life. Let the north wind of Your blessing blow upon my garden today. I stop looking east, west and south for my breakthrough — I look to You, on the throne in the north. ✝️

Trees and the Cross — Bitter Made Sweet

Exodus 15:25 · Numbers 21:8-9 · Galatians 3:13 · 1 Peter 2:24

"Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink."

Exodus 15:25 ✝️
📖 The Tree in the Bitter Water

Three days after the Red Sea crossing Israel found water — but it was bitter. They could not drink it. God showed Moses a piece of wood. Moses threw it into the water. The water became sweet. This is one of the most powerful types of the cross in the entire Old Testament — hidden in plain sight in Exodus 15. ✝️

  • 🌊 Bitter water — the human condition. Sin has made everything bitter — relationships, hearts, life itself.
  • 🌳 A tree thrown in — not a formula, not human effort, not a chemical. A tree. Cast into the bitterness.
  • 🍬 The water became sweet — the cross of Christ — the tree of Calvary — thrown into the bitterness of human sin — transforms everything it touches. ✝️
✝️ The Pattern of the Tree Throughout Scripture
  • Genesis 2:9 — The tree of life in the garden — access to God through a tree
  • Genesis 3:6 — The forbidden tree — death through a tree
  • Exodus 15:25 — Tree thrown in — bitter made sweet ✝️
  • Numbers 21:8-9 — Bronze serpent on a pole — look and live. Jesus connects this to His own cross in John 3:14 ✝️
  • Galatians 3:13 — "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us — for it is written: Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." ✝️
  • 1 Peter 2:24 — "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree." ✝️
  • Revelation 22:2 — The tree of life in the New Jerusalem — whose leaves are for the healing of the nations ✝️
💡 Application

Three days after their greatest miracle — the Red Sea — Israel encountered bitterness. Miracles do not prevent bitter seasons. But the tree — the cross — transforms every bitter water it is thrown into. Whatever is bitter in your life today — bring the cross to it. Not as a formula but as a reality — the actual power of Christ's sacrifice applied by faith. ✝️

And after the bitter was made sweet — Exodus 15:27 — they came to Elim where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees. After the cross — abundance. After the bitterness becomes sweet — springs of living water. ✝️

🙏 Prayer

Lord throw Your cross into every bitter water in my life today. Every relationship made bitter by sin, every circumstance made bitter by loss, every memory made bitter by wound — I bring the tree to each one. Make the bitter sweet. Lead me to Elim — to the twelve springs and the seventy palms. ✝️

✝️

Restoration Through the Cross — Peter and the Fish

Genesis 1:28 · Matthew 17:27 · Romans 5:17

"Go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours."

Matthew 17:27 ✝️
📖 Dominion Demonstrated — The Tax Coin

When the temple tax collectors came to Peter, Jesus faced a practical need — a specific amount of money for a specific purpose. There was a bag of offerings available — Judas carried it (John 12:6). Jesus did not use it. Instead He sent Peter to the lake to catch the first fish — and in its mouth would be the exact amount needed.

This is the restored dominion in precise demonstration. The Son of God exercising the Genesis 1 mandate — creation responding to the command of the king. The fish carried exactly the right coin — not approximately, not roughly, but exactly. Four drachmas. Enough for both Jesus and Peter. Creation provides precisely. ✝️

✝️ The Chain of Restoration
  • Genesis 1:28 — God gives dominion to man — fruitful, multiply, subdue, reign ✝️
  • Genesis 3:17 — Dominion lost through Adam's sin — the ground cursed
  • Romans 5:17 — Dominion restored through Christ — "reign in life" ✝️
  • Revelation 1:6 — Made kings and priests by His blood ✝️
  • Matthew 17:27 — Creation responding to the word of the king — the fish with the coin ✝️
💡 Application

The restored dominion does not mean luxury without responsibility. It means creation responds to the commands of those who are aligned with the King of Creation — speaking what He says, going where He sends, trusting that He has already placed the coin in the fish's mouth before we even cast the line. ✝️

The provision was already there — in a fish, in the water, perfectly timed. Our part was simply to obey the instruction. That is the pattern of dominion restored. ✝️

🙏 Declaration

Lord I receive the restored dominion — not by my own strength but by Your blood and Your word. Whatever I need today — You have already placed it somewhere in creation. I trust Your provision and I obey Your instruction. Lead me to the fish. ✝️

Command the Morning — Rule the Day

Job 38:12-13 · Psalm 5:3 · Lamentations 3:23 · Mark 1:35

"Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place — that it might take the earth by the edges and shake the wicked out of it?"

Job 38:12-13 ✝️
📖 God's Own Question to Job

God is describing a real authority in Job 38 — the authority to COMMAND THE MORNING. To give orders to the dawn. To take the earth by the edges and shake the wicked out of it before the day begins. This is not poetry without substance — this is God describing what redeemed humanity was made to exercise. ✝️

The king does not wait for the day to arrive and then react to it. The king commands the day before it begins. Every morning is a blank canvas — and the believer who rises early to pray is the one who paints it before the enemy can. ✝️

✝️ The Pattern of Early Rising in Scripture
  • Mark 1:35"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed." Jesus modelled this. He did not react to the day — He commanded it before it arrived. ✝️
  • Psalm 5:3"In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly." The morning is when God listens with particular attentiveness. ✝️
  • Lamentations 3:23"His mercies are new every morning — great is your faithfulness." Every morning comes with a fresh supply of mercy — uncollected from yesterday, fully available today. ✝️
💡 Practical Application

Before the world makes demands on your day — make demands on your day in Jesus's name. Rise before the noise begins. Command your morning. Declare what this day shall be. Intercede for those who will cross your path. Take the earth by its edges and shake out what does not belong before it has time to establish itself. ✝️

🙏 Declaration Over the Morning

This is the day the LORD has made — I will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24) I give orders to this morning — let it carry the purposes of God and shake off everything the enemy has planned against me and mine. The mercies of God are new this morning — I receive them now. Lord let Your will be done in this day as it is in heaven. ✝️

🔮

Destroy Tomorrow's Troubles — Before They Arrive

Matthew 6:34 · Isaiah 45:2 · Job 38:12

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Matthew 6:34 ✝️
📖 Two Applications of Matthew 6:34

Jesus says each day has enough trouble of its own. This reveals two powerful strategic truths for the believer:

  • Application 1 — Be prepared for tomorrow's troubles: Not anxious — prepared. There is a difference. Anxiety about tomorrow is forbidden (Matthew 6:34). Wise preparation for tomorrow is commanded (Proverbs 6:6-8). Know that troubles are coming and be spiritually ready. ✝️
  • Application 2 — Destroy tomorrow's troubles today: Through prayer we can go into tomorrow before it arrives — in the Spirit — and dismantle what the enemy has planned before it manifests in the natural. This is the prophetic dimension of commanding the morning. ✝️
✝️ God Goes Before

Isaiah 45:2"I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron." God goes ahead into tomorrow and prepares the way. When we pray we join Him there — in tomorrow, before it arrives, removing what does not belong. ✝️

Job 38:12-13 — Commanding the morning means taking authority over the day before it begins — shaking the wicked out of it before they can establish themselves. Prophetic prayer enters tomorrow tonight. ✝️

💡 The Pattern of Preventive Prayer

Jesus rose before dawn — He was not reacting to the day. He was commanding it. He went into the day in the Spirit before the day arrived in the natural. Every appointment, every confrontation, every need of that day had already been taken to the Father before breakfast.

This is dominion in prayer — not defensive but offensive. Not waiting for the enemy to strike and then asking God for help — but going ahead into the territory before the battle begins and pulling down what the enemy has prepared. ✝️

🙏 Prayer — Destroying Tomorrow's Troubles Tonight

Lord I go into tomorrow with You — right now. I pull down every plan the enemy has laid for tomorrow. I command every obstacle to be levelled, every gate of bronze to be broken and every bar of iron to be cut through. Tomorrow belongs to You, Lord — and I declare it now, before it arrives. ✝️

🗣️

Speak to the Earth — Creation Responds

Job 12:7-8 · Luke 19:40 · Romans 8:19-22 · Mark 11:23

"But ask the animals and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky and they will tell you; or speak to the earth and it will teach you."

Job 12:7-8 ✝️
📖 Creation is Not Silent

Scripture consistently describes creation as an active participant in God's purposes — not a passive backdrop. The earth speaks. The earth hears. The earth responds. The earth groans. The earth waits. The earth will worship. ✝️

  • Genesis 4:10 — Abel's blood CRIED from the ground — the earth bears witness to injustice ✝️
  • Psalm 19:1-4 — The heavens DECLARE God's glory — continuously, in every language ✝️
  • Luke 19:40 — "If they keep quiet the STONES WILL CRY OUT" ✝️
  • Romans 8:19-22 — Creation GROANS and WAITS for the children of God to be revealed ✝️
  • Isaiah 55:12 — Mountains BURST INTO SONG — trees CLAP THEIR HANDS ✝️
  • Mark 11:23 — "Say to this MOUNTAIN, 'Go throw yourself into the sea' and it will be done." ✝️
✝️ The Mountain Moves — Mark 11:23

"Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them."

Jesus did not say PRAY about the mountain. He said SAY TO the mountain. This is a direct address to creation — a command, not a request. The authority of the king (Ecclesiastes 8:4) directed at the physical world in faith. Creation was designed to respond to this. ✝️

🎥

Recommended Resource — Dr. Francis Myles: "Speaking to the Earth" — a thorough biblical teaching on how creation responds to the commands of God's people. Watch on YouTube →

💡 Application

Creation is not merely your environment — it is your domain. Mountains can be spoken to. Storms can be rebuked. Provision can be commanded to come. Not through personal power — but through the delegated authority of the King who said all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me (Matthew 28:18) — and then told His disciples to go in that authority. ✝️

🙏 Declaration

I speak to every mountain in my way — be removed. I speak to the earth — yield your fruit in season. I speak to the stones — if necessary you will cry out the praises of the King. Creation is waiting for the children of God to arise. I arise today — in Jesus's name — to exercise the dominion He restored. ✝️
